Breast Enhancement and Mammograms
Bellevue, Everett, Kirkland, Tacoma, and Seattle, Washington
Many of our breast enhancement patients are concerned that they will not be able to have mammograms performed correctly after their breast enhancement surgery. Fortunately, this is untrue; our breast enhancement patients are all able to continue to monitor their breast health through mammograms.
The key for breast enhancement patients is to have a mammogram performed a few weeks prior to the breast enhancement surgery and then again about six months after the procedure. By doing this, there is a benchmark for future mammograms to be compared to.
In addition to this, it is important that breast enhancement patients inform their mammogram technician that they have breast implants. When the mammogram technician has this information, they can take the additional images needed to have a clear view of all the breast tissue.
Also, breast enhancement patients should go to a mammography technician that has been trained specifically for performing mammograms on women with breast implants.
We want to make sure that all out breast enhancement patients find that every aspect of their life is improved after their breast enhancement procedure. If you live in the Kirkland or Everett, Washington are and are considering breast enhancement surgery, please schedule an initial consultation with Dr. Pratt today.
